Carbon Tax E-Petition
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland is committed to representing the collective views of Queensland businesses.
The Australian Government has announced their intention to introduce a carbon price from 1 July 2012. While there is currently limited detail on the operation of the scheme, it is likely that there will be impacts for businesses and the economy, with cost increases for emissions-intensive goods, services and utilities in the absence of adequate compensation. CCIQ has set up an online e-petition opposing the carbon tax and is encouraging all members of the Queensland business community to express their opinion on the introduction of the proposed Tax by signing the petition below.
